Life at Crisis Response International

CRI

Before my family could head to Guatemala we stopped at Crisis Response International's base. My dad has to do Instrument Rating Training. Which is knowledge he needed to know before we could head to Guatemala. My dad feels called to aviation, but he must learn Instrument Rating before we can proceed our journey to Guatemala. We have estimated the training to take about 3 months, if that is God's will for our family.

My mom had been following CRI on Social Media for several years before Guatemala had come into the picture. When we finally got the Green Light from God to start our journey to Guatemala my dad had started looking for Flight schools on the East Coast of America. Our family had traveled all over the West Coast of America, but never the East Coast. At first, the plan was to stay in North Carolina with a friend my dad had met on one of the teams he had went to Ukraine with, through CRI. But God closed that door, and opened the door for us to stay at CRI's home base. The war between Ukraine and Russia, the earthquakes, and the tornados that have been happening throughout the U.S.A had left the CRI base in need of assistance.  Giving my mom the idea for us staying at their base and helping them out.

There are seventeen base volunteers at CRI. We all share chores around the base, including: the animals and the barn, the kitchen/dining area, all the cabins, the warehouse (where people donate things CRI puts on their websites that they need for their deployments), and the sewage processor system. I usually help in the kitchen or with the animals/barn, wherever I'm needed, really.

That is all for now, stay tuned for when we take bigger steps towards Guatemala.
